Baptism

The parents of children to be baptized must take instruction and pledge to bring up their children in the Faith. Adults who have not received this sacrament participate in a RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program prior to Baptism.

First Communion

Children normally receive their First Communion in Grade 2, when they are 7 or 8 years old.  Two years instruction is required in the PREP or Catholic School program.  Adults who have been Baptized but have not received First Communion are prepared to do so through the RCIA program.

Confirmation

It is the sacrament of sealing and strengthening of the vows made at baptism through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  It marks the entering into an adult commitment to Christ as Lord and Saviour.  Confirmation is celebrated at the end of Grade 7 after 2 years of preparation in the PREP or Catholic School program.  Adults who have not been Confirmed are prepared to receive the sacrament through the RCIA program.

Marriage

It is the sacrament that celebrates an  exclusive covenant of love between one man and one woman. Anointing of the Sick
